Ympärihiihdot & Kaamoksen Kaatajaiset

Tervehdys kaikille urheilu- ja bilehenkisille! Ympärihiihdot ovat jo ylihuomenna, ja ne päästään "urheilemaan" loistavissa olosuhteissa. Toki lämmikettäkin saa ja kannattaa nauttia siinä sivussa. Tapahtuma järjestetään Teekkaritalolla torstaina 12.3. ja se käydään kolmen hengen joukkuein NeverSki-suksilla hiihtäen, erilaisia rasteja kiertäen. Aiheena tänä vuonna on PÄÄSIÄINEN. Osallistumismaksu 12e/joukkue, joka sisältää osallistumisen lisäksi kolme haalarimerkkiä ja kolme lippua illan after-ski -bileisiin, Kaamoksen Kaatajaisiin. Bileet ovat vuosien varrella erinomaiseksi opiskelijabilepaikaksi osoittautuneessa ravintola Tähdessä! Esiintyjänä tapahtumassa on varmasti tuhma Pornolordi. Tähden alakerrassa Karaoke on auki koko illan, joten myös lauluhenkiset pääsevät toteuttamaan itseään. Ovet aukeavat 21:00 ja meno jatkuu aina 04:00 :aan saakka. Mikäli et halua tai pääse osallistumaan Ympärihiihtoihin, voit toki ostaa pelkän iltabilelipun, joka kustantaa ennakkoon teekkarikortilla 4e, ilman/ovelta 5e. Lippuja myydään ennakkoon vielä huomenna vihreillä naulakoilla 11-14 sekä lääkiksellä 11:30-12:30. Hiihtojoukkueet voivat ilmoittautua lipunmyynnin yhteydessä. TERVETULOA KOHOTTAMAAN OPISKELUMOTIVAATIOTA JA SAAMAAN VINKKEJÄ GRADUTYÖSKENTELYYN! Graduasiantuntija professori Juha T. Hakala luennoi opiskelijoille ensi viikon keskiviikkona 18.3. klo. 12.15-15.30 salissa IT116 aiheella "Realismia työn tavoitteisiin, käytännönläheisiä vinkkejä ja motivaatiota opinnäytetyön tekemiseen" Juha T. Hakala on toiminut Kokkolan yliopistokeskus Chydeniuksen Maisterihautomon vetäjänä ja perehtynyt laajasti opinnäytetyön tekemistä edistäviin ja epävarmuutta aiheuttaviin tekijöihin. Tällä hetkellä Hakala toimii kasvatustieteen professorina Kokkolan yliopistokeskuksessa. Hakala on julkaissut useita teoksia ja artikkeleita opinnäytetyön tekemisestä sekä luennoinut värikkäästi ja humoristisesti tästä opiskelijoita ahdistavasta aiheesta. Tervetuloa! The project utilizes live-cell imaging, biochemical second-messenger and lipid assays and molecular and cell biological techniques on cellular model systems, and thus schooling and previous experience in such techniques is considered a merit. Orexin receptors are most well-known for their central role in the regulation of sleep/wakefulness and appetite in central nervous system, but their also display a range of effects in other tissue types. They show very wide variety of responses which also makes them an interesting model for studies of the signal coupling of G-protein-coupled receptors. Our group is interested both in the orexin-specific and general signaling aspects.
