Dear all,
Just to add to this, hopefully everyone has seen the current controversy surrounding Karolinska Institute (http://www.nature.com/news/karolinska-institute-to-cut-ties-with-controversi... ) where the vice Chancellor cleared a surgeon of misconduct AFTER an independent investigation had found the surgeon guilty of misconduct in research

Hi everybody,
I would like to draw your attention to a very important aspect in science - the truth, validity and ethics of our research results. There is a large article on scientific fraud in today's Helsingin Sanomat (http://www.hs.fi/sunnuntai/a1454657055916#http://www.hs.fi/sunnuntai/a1454657055916) and there will be a further discussion today at 12 in hs.fi/hstv in which the former chancellor of Helsinki University, Kari Raivio will discuss more on the issue.
Best wishes, Peppi
