The Cancer Genomics Group at the Institute of Medical Technology, University of Tampere, is seeking for a highly motivated Ph. D. student. The available research project aims at the functional characterization of the role of the bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) in the development and progression of breast and pancreatic cancer.
Successful applicants should hold an academic degree qualifying for postgraduate studies (a Masters degree or equivalent in biosciences or a related field). Previous experience in cell and molecular biology laboratory methods, especially in cell culture techniques, is an advantage but not a necessity. The position is available in the beginning of December 2009 or as negotiated. Deadline for applications is November 27th, 2009.
