Junior scientist/student to genomics of kidney transplantation project in the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service, Helsinki, Finland.

We are starting a research project on genomics of complications in kidney transplantation. The project is part of our “Whole genome histocompatibility” project, in which we so far have screened novel genetic factors in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (see e.g. Ritari et al Leukemia 2018, Hyvärinen et al Scientific Reports 2018 or McCarroll et al Nature Genet 2009). We are now looking for a junior scientist (student/FM or equivalent) who would start the kidney transplantation project by doing sample inventory and selection in collaboration with the transplantation unit at HUCS.

The first period would be till the end of year 2018, starting immediately, and the project may be continued as a PhD project, in which skills in genetic data analysis are necessary.
