Ööpinen on Suomen toiseksi vanhin wappulehti. Sitä on julkaissut Oulun Arkkitehtikilta ry vuodesta 1963 alkaen. Ööpisen toimituksen linja ja tavoite on ollut kautta aikojen sama: alittaa edellisten vuosien taso sekä huumorin että maun puolesta. Ööpisiä markkinoi ja myy kunkin vuoden excursioryhmä. Ööpisiä myydään netissä ja kadulla, jossa Ööpismyyjän tunnistaa yleensä tupsulakista, valkoisista haalareista ja kyltistä, jossa lukee jollakin tavalla Ö. Myös Ööpisen tuotto käytetään arkkitehdin tutkintoon kuuluvan ulkomaan opintomatkan rahoittamiseen Ööpisen julkaisemista seuraavana syksynä

I see you asking “Dear Ööpinen, I have no idea what this is?
Ööpinen is the second oldest wappu*magazine in Finland. It is produced by the Oulu Guild of Architecture and its first publication was in 1963. The goal has remained the same throughout the years: have the quality be on a lower level than the previous year when it comes to the humour and taste. The marketing and sales is done by the excursion group of that year. Normally Ööpinen has the online-order option and street-sale where the seller can be recognised by the Teekkaricap, white(ish) overalls and a big sign that has an “Ö” on it. The profit from Ööpinen is used to fund an excursion (destination is always abroad but varies every year) that is part of the Architect studies. The excursion usually takes place in the autumn following the publication of Ööpinen.
So buy one, read it, enjoy it, be shocked or surprised and support fellow students!
