Dear all,
Just to remind you that you must submit a study plan for approval before you start your Pro gradu work. Please submit this AT LEAST two weeks before you plan to start the work in case there are any questions/problems arising. The plan should be 1-2 sides in length and sufficiently detailed for me to be able to judge the appropriateness. You should also include your name, email address, a start date and a list of supervisors, at least one of whom must be docent level or higher.
Also just to clarify the rules. Students are allowed to count only the first 5 months of experimental work towards their Pro Gradu thesis. However before you start your experimental work (and preferably before you submit your study plan) you should make yourselves familiar with the subject area, draw up a detailed plan and ensure you understand the nature of the methodologies you will use. This does not count towards the 5 months and should be done before you start. 5 months is a very short time, plan carefully in advance.
Best wishes,
Lloyd
