BioMediTech at the University of Tampere invites applications for the post of a doctoral student with focus on vaccine development and protein engineering. This is Therdiab-project funded by Tekes: ”Eradication of enterovirus associated diabetes: effective diagnostics, multivalent vaccines and small molecule inhibitors”.

The position will be filled for the period 1 April 2015 – 31 December 2016.

An individual appointed as a doctoral student must have experience in molecular biology and protein engineering and characterization. Experience in virus culturing, vaccine development, virus like particles and animal work are considered additional merits.

The salary for this post is based on level 2 - 4 of the job requirement level chart for teaching and research staff in the University Salary System. In addition to the requirement level component, the successful applicant will be paid a personal work performance component.

The post will have a trial period of four months.
