A postgraduate student position is available at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) ( The National Public Health Institute (KTL) and the National Research and Development Centre for Welfare and Health (STAKES) join forces to form the National Institute for Health and Welfare). The work is a part of the project studying pertussis immunity after vaccination and disease. Other pertussis projects carried out at THL, Turku and at Department of Pediatrics, Turku University Hospital, Turku are focused on Bordetella pertussis genomics and molecular diagnostics. Starting date is negotiable and can begin immediately.
Applicants qualifying for postgraduate studies will be considered. Experience in basic molecular and immunological methods is an advantage. The salary is based on the THL salary system and depends on qualifications.
