Perinatal Research team in Medical Research Center, University of Oulu, offers a position for a Ph.D. in molecular biology (biochemist, biologist, or equivalent).
We consider researchers who have a solid background in modern methods in molecular and cellular biology. Applicants who are familiar with FACS, epigenetic gene regulation and/or TG-mice techniques are especially encouraged to apply. Immunological orientation is preferable.
The Perinatal Research team consisting of geneticists and translationally-oriented physicians seeks to strengthen its program. Together with the team the investigator performs functional studies on relevant candidate genes using both cell-based and in vivo models. The focus is on spontaneous preterm birth and lung diseases in infancy. The position offers a good carrier opportunity in a well-established team for a research oriented scientist. The salary is paid by the University of Oulu and it is based on salary system of Finnish Universities. The salary support is currently available for five years.
