We are looking for a highly motivated M.Sc. with laboratory experience in cell biology and genuine interest for clinically relevant basic research. Applicants with strong background in cell biology and molecular biology are preferred. Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English are required. In addition knowledge of biomaterials is helpful but not obligatory.
The goal of the group (http://www.uta.fi/bmt/institute/research/skottman/index.html) is to use human stem cell derived corneal cells and biomaterial combinations in corneal tissue modeling and in preclinical studies for corneal defects. Research project is conducted in international collaboration with several research groups. We offer a dynamic, innovative, and international working environment to conduct research and PhD studies. The specific topics of research project will be discussed in detail during the interview of the selected candidates.
The position will be filled for 31 December 2016.
The salary for this post is based on level 2 of the job requirement level chart for teaching and research staff in the University Salary System. In addition to the requirement level component, the successful applicant will be paid a personal work performance component.
The post will have a trial period of four months.
