Two PhD student positions are available in the group of associate professor Terhi Piltonen (https://www.oulu.fi/mrc/research-groups/piltonen). The duration of the post is four years.
The projects are focused on endometrial function, inflammation and infertility. Specific information on the positions in the Piltonen lab, eligibility criteria and requirements can be found on the attachments ESR7 and ESR8.
The PhD students will be hired on a project funded through the EU project MATER, a Marie Curie Training Network. PhD students will carry out their doctoral research and training jointly at two degree-awarding universities and will be awarded a double PhD degree from the University of Oulu (Finland) as the main host, and the University of Tartu (Estonia) or University of Leuven (Belgium) as the co-host.
Note that the applicant must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Finland more than 12 months during the last three years! However, in the training network there are several positions in other universities to which those not fulfilling this rule can apply. Go to https://mater.ut.ee/homepage for more information on all of the positions and projects.
