FIMM is currently seeking outstanding candidates for positions of PhD Students in Molecular Medicine

starting in August 2011.

FIMM is a multi-disciplinary research institute combining high-quality science with state-of- the-art technologies with the goal of building a bridge from biomedical research and discovery to medical applications. FIMM works together with the Helsinki Biomedical Graduate School (HBGS) and other graduate area programs to provide excellent research training and courses aiming at a PhD degree at the University of Helsinki. As part of a joint

call of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine, we currently have openings for PhD students who show outstanding potential to become independent researchers and who will significantly benefit from the institute’s four-year program. 

Qualification requirements include a relevant academic degree, good problem solving, troubleshooting, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, fluency in English, and ability to work independently as well as within an international team.

Application deadline is February 15, 2011.
