Ph.D. position is available in Biomedicum Helsinki at the University of
Helsinki, to investigate the genetic regulation of mitochondria in the group of
Brendan Battersby. A motivated candidate with an interest or background in
genetics, developmental biology, cell biology, or biochemistry would be an
advantage for this position. The general interest of our lab is to investigate
the mechanisms that regulate mitochondria and mitochondrial DNA during
development and in a tissue-specific manner to understand factors important in
mediating human mitochondrial diseases.
