Hi,

If someone studying in the Masters programs is interested in (and not yet bored with protein purification…) up to 4 week project in the context of the course Orientation to research work, I would have the following available in my lab:

We have made a construct, sequenced and transformed to E. coli of a novel cell surface immunoprotein from chicken. The purpose would be to begin a project to purify this protein using standard His-tag and chromatography techniques. The construct is actually the soluble portion of this membrane-anchored protein. I cannot say if the purification proves easy or problematic, but it would be part of the research work in my lab. Prior experience in using third floor protein purification equipment would be nice, but not absolutely necessary.

Anyone interested please contact me as soon as possible for further details.
