POSTDOCTORAL (PhD) POSITION IN ZEBRAFISH RESEARCH

A postdoctoral (or PhD) position is available immediately in the laboratory of Sanna Lehtonen at Haartman Institute, Department of Pathology at the University of Helsinki to study kidney diseases in zebrafish. Our laboratory is particularly interested in studying the pathophysiological mechanisms leading to the development of perturbations in glomerular ultrafiltration. The project is funded by European Research Council (ERC) and the salary is based on the salary system of the University of Helsinki.

Candidates must have a PhD (MSc) in biology or related fields, and a strong background in biochemistry and molecular, cell or developmental biology is desirable. Experience in zebrafish developmental biology and genetic manipulation techniques is preferred.
