A PhD student position is available in prof. Bjarne Udds research group, Folkhälsan Institute of Genetics, Dept. of Medical Genetics, University of Helsinki.
Research area: Next generation sequencing (NGS) analysis for detecting of disease causing genemutations in patients with distal myopathies and other inherited muscular disorders.
Practical experience in molecular genetics methods, NGS and bioinformatics is an advantage. The group has strong collaborative contacts with several groups both in Finland and abroad. The position can commence from October 2014, or as agreed. Deadline for applications is September 19th, 2014.
