Positions for PhD- students in the Bone Biology Research Consortium, University of Turku
We are seeking for innovative PhD-students that have a genuine interest in performing biomedical research. Funding for our research comes from the Academy of Finland and Ministry of Education, along with further funding from graduate schools. The projects now open deal with regulatory RNAs and transcription factor analysis during the proliferation and differentiation of bone marrow stem cells. We routinely use bioinformatics (GeneSpring, Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, various TF analysis tools), cell and molecular biology and extensive cell and tissue imaging systems. The applicant should be familiar with basic physiology, biochemistry and cell biology.
Further information about our research area can be found in a recent review "Osteoclast lineage and function" (Väänänen HK, Laitala-Leinonen T., Arch Biochem Biophys. 2008 473:132-138). Kindly send short applications explaining why You should be selected to join our research team + cv to Tiina Laitala-Leinonen ( mailto:tilale@utu.fi tilale@utu.fi ) before the end of January. Thank you!
