A postdoctoral/graduate student
position available in Cancer Cell Circuitry Laboratory. The laboratory is
affiliated with the Institute of Biomedicine (Medical Faculty) and Research
Program in Genome-Scale Biology, University of Helsinki and it is located in
Biomedicum Helsinki. The Program in Genome-Scale Biology strives to capture
opportunities that modern genomics and reverse genetics technologies provide
for advancement of life sciences and the program’s goal is to translate cutting
edge basic research in this area into medical benefits.
The available project investigates the role of conserved polarity genes in
tumor suppression using state of the art reverse genetics approaches, including
comparative genetics and lentiviral shRNA screens, in combination with 3D
matrix-grown organoid cell cultures and transgenic mouse mammary glands as
mammary tumor models.
