We seek highly motivated Ph. D. students to study cardiac cell physiology in the Molecular Physiology laboratory.

 

Successful candidates should have a background in cell physiology, live-cell imaging and electrophysiology (patch-clamp) and/or molecular biology. The work will be carried out at the Department of Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine, A.I. Virtanen Institute, University of Kuopio ( http://www.uku.fi/aivi/ ).

 

The positions are available from 1.5. 2009, for up to 2-4 years. Applicants will be considered until the positions are filled. The application should be sent by email to Dr. Pasi Tavi (pasi.tavi@uku.fi) and should include a complete CV including education, degrees obtained, prior work experience and the names, contact information for three referees and a brief description of research interests.
