Subject: Open position for doctoral candidates/postdoc researchers in the mitochondrial morphogenesis group, University of Helsinki

The mitochondrial morphogenesis group led by Docent Hongxia Zhao is inviting applications for POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS OR DOCTORAL STUDENTS IN CELL BIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY. The full-time position will start as soon as possible.

The research group of Hongxia Zhao uses a wide array of biochemical, biophysical, cell biological, and genetic methods to identify and characterize novel proteins critical for mitochondrial morphogenesis and dynamics, to address the underlying molecular mechanisms and their functional link to mitochondrial diseases. We are now looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individual(s) with a strong background in cell biology and biochemistry. Experience in mitochondrial biology is highly beneficial. The working language of the lab is English and knowledge of the Finnish language is not necessary.

To apply, please submit your application as a single pdf-file containing a one-page letter with a personal statement outlining your research interests and relevant work experience, your CV and bibliography and contact information for 2-3 references.
