Dear all,
Places are available for Pro Gradu students in my group. No sexy buzz words such as “cancer”, no vague promises of a PhD position afterwards, just solid science in a very productive group.
Projects in the lab mainly revolve around protein folding in the ER. In the past it was mainly in vitro molecular enzymology, but in the past two years we have been doing a lot more in vivo work, solved a couple of crystal structures and have obtained stopped-flow and quenched-flow equipment which opens up lots of exciting new possibilities. Pro Gradu projects are worked out to try to match the students aspirations in terms of learning molecular biology, protein chemistry, enzymology, cell biology, biophysical analysis etc.
3 undergraduate students have been on publications from Biokemia II work done in the group and the only Pro gradu student so far in the group will soon have a 1st or 2nd author paper from his work and has got a hard to get ISB funded PhD position based in large part on his Pro Gradu project work.
Anyone interested in discussing the opportunity please come and see me.
VBW,
Lloyd
