Dear all,

Just three quick points for the 2nd year students.

1) As well as your biochemistry courses you should remember to sign up for English for Biochemists II as soon as possible. Sign-up for this compulsory course (902101Y), which is linked to Protein Chemistry I and Biochemical methods II, is via WebOodi. Only 3 students have signed up to date.

2) For some of the spring term classes you will be joined by Emmanuel Doh Nji, a student with a 1st class BSc in biochemistry who is doing some bridging studies before starting the new International MSc in September 2007. I hope you will all make him feel welcome.

3) This term you have the first of your optional BSc courses. While we believe that the suggested optional courses will lead to a balanced BSc in biochemistry (and with no timetable clashes), please actively consider your options and decide what will help you achieve your long term goals. Do not just "drift" into the suggested optional courses as the "easy no-thought option", make an active choice.
