Moi Histonit!  

 

Histonin 50-vuotisjuhlasymposium eli akateeminen konferenssi järjestetään 13.5. klo. 14-17 Kontinkankaalla luentosalissa K101. Tapahtuman järjestäjinä toimivat Histonin lisäksi BMTK ja Oulun Biotieteellinen Seura (OBS). Tilaisuus on kokonaan Englanniksi.  

 

Vaikka tapahtuma linkittyy vuosijuhliin, on paikalle vapaa pääsy myös niille, jotka eivät osallistu vuosijuhlille.  

Iltapäivä ohjelma etenee seuraavasti:

Aluksi kuulemme siis Sinikka Eskelisen, yhden Histonin perustajajäsenistä, puheen Histonista ja sen perustamisesta. Eskelisellä on mm. dosentin arvonimi ja hän on tehnyt uraa Biocenter Oulun koordinaattorina. Lisäksi hän on tutkinut mm. puna- ja epiteelisoluja.  

 

Emeritusprofessori ja BMTK:n ensimmäinen dekaani, Kalervo Hiltunen osaa kertoa BMTK:n alkuajoista varmasti paremmin kuin kukaan muu.  

 

Kandivaiheen vastuuopettaja Renata Prunskaite-Hyyryläinen kertoo puheessaan BMTK:n nykytilanteesta ja siitä miten se on saavutettu. Aikajana päättyy koulutusdekaani Tuomo Glumoffin puheeseen biokemian opetuksen tulevaisuudesta.  

 

Välissä kuullaan myös yhteistyökumppani, OBS:n tervehdys. OBS eli Oulun Biotieteellinen Seura on Oulun seudun biotieteellisten alojen ammattilaisten yhdistys, joka mm. ylläpitää jäsenistönsä verkostoitumista.

Hi Histonis! 

 

The 50th Anniversary Symposium, or Academic conference, will be held on  

Friday, 13.5. at 14-17 in Lecture Hall K101 in Kontinkangas Campus. In addition to Histoni Ry, the event is co-organized by FBMM and Oulu Bioscientific Society (OBS). The program will be in English. 

Although the event is linked to the Anniversary celebration, you can participate even if you are not coming to the Ball.  

 

The afternoon proceeds as follows:

So first, we hear the speech of Sinikka Eskelinen, one of the founding members of Histoni, about Histoni and its founding. Eskelinen is a docent and has made a career as the coordinator of Biocenter Oulu. In addition, she has researched, among other things, the red and epithelial cells.  

 

Kalervo Hiltunen, who is an Emeritus Professor, and was the first Dean at FBMM, is certainly better able to talk about the early days of FBMM than anyone else.  

 

Renata Prunskaite-Hyyryläinen, the teacher in charge of the bachelor’s students, will talk about the current state of FBMM, and how it was achieved. The timeline concludes with a speech by Tuomo Glumoff, Dean of Education, on the future of teaching biochemistry.  

 

In between, we'll also hear a greeting from our partner in the event, OBS. OBS, or Oulu Bioscientific society, is an association of professionals in the field of biosciences in the Oulu area. They, e.g., maintain the networking of their members.
