Dear International MSc students.
While I was off ill the language center got notification that they would receive funding for a course aimed specifically at international MSc students (and exchange students) which will be named "English for Biochemists III". The course will be 3op and aimed at scientific writing and presentational skills. It will be similar in format to English for Biochemists II (see study guide for details), but there will be some differences. The courses are however so similar that if you have English II, you cannot get credits as well for English III.
English II (which English III is based on) is a tough course, but it gets very good feedback and it gives essential skills. I would urge everyone to consider it as an optional course and especially if you plan to write a dissertation.
There are no details yet of when it will run, but it will be sometime in the Spring term and I have a meeting about it in the next week.
