A position in GosNIIgenetica, Russia for an early-state researcher (PhD student level) is opened in the field of bioinformatics application in to farmacogenomics of multiple sclerosis in GosNIIgenetika, Moscow, Russia. http://bioinform.genetika.ru
The position is opened within FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network http://www.reem.es/uepha-ms.htm and implies cooperation with biomedical research centers in several European countries and integration of data from several sources.
THE APPLICANT SHOULD BE A CITIZEN OF ONE OF THE EU MEMBER STATES.
A background in bioinformatics and/or or in data mining is needed. The position implies working with experimental data from variable sources. Perl (Ruby etc) and SQL skills are highly desirable. Some understanding of basics of data mining, Bayesian methods and optimization algorithms as well as Matlab or R skills is highly appreciated. Experience in statistics is also of advantage. Interest to biology and medicine is required, too. An understanding of basic molecular biology, immunology and general physiology is an advantage.
Russian language skills are not required but welcome.
This is a three year position which includes a three-year contract AND PhD
studies. The position is generously supported with FP7 people program with
yearly allowance close to EUR 40000, due to a high Russian regional
coefficient.
