POST-DOC AND PhD STUDENT POSITIONS IN DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY RESEARCH
A post-doctoral and a PhD student position are available in the laboratory of Sanna Lehtonen at Haartman Institute, University of Helsinki. The projects are funded by European Research Council (ERC), and focus on studying the pathophysiological mechanisms leading to the development of diabetic nephropathy, a serious complication of diabetes. The projects concentrate on analyzing the role of insulin signaling and glucose transport and the regulation of actin cytoskeleton in kidney epithelial cells.
We are looking for hard-working and ambitious candidates with a good track record of successful scientific work. Previous experience in laboratory methods in cell and molecular biology and protein biochemistry as well as skills in laboratory animal handling are appreciated.
