POST-DOC AND PhD STUDENT POSITIONS IN CANCER BIOLOGY
One Post-doctoral and two PhD student positions are available in the laboratory of Jukka Westermarck at the Centre for Biotechnology, University of Turku, Turku, Finland. The projects are focused on molecular mechanisms by which protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) tumor suppressor function is inhibited in human cancer (see Junttila et al., Cell, 130, 2007; Puustinen et al., Cancer Res. 69, 2009; Westermarck and Hahn, Trends Mol Med. 14, 2008). Positions are available starting from August 1, 2009 and candidates will be considered until the positions are filled.
We are looking for hard-working and ambitious candidates with proven track record of successful scientific work. Solid previous experience on cell and molecular biology of cancer is desirable. For the post-doctoral project experience on high-throughput methods will be an asset.
