With one Pro Gradu project just finished and one entering its second half, we have space in my group for a Pro Gradu student.

We have recently developed a system for the high level production of antibodies and antibody fragments in E.coli and would like to build on this to examine issues related to disulfide bond heterogeneity in antibodies and the development of more efficient therapeutic antibodies, with an particular focus on cancer therapy. The project will involve protein engineering, protein purification and biophysical characterization, and potentially structural studies (x-ray crystallography).
