Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences
at the University of Tampere invites applications for a Doctoral Student position. The fixed-term position will initially be filled for one year (twelve months) starting
on March 1, 2017, or as agreed.
Requirements
We are looking for a doctoral student to join Immunoregulation group that investigates how the Proprotein Convertase (PCSK) enzymes regulate the immune system (see for example
J Immunol. 2014 Dec 1,
Oncotarget. 2016 Aug 5
and OncoImmunology Vol 5, 2016).
A successful candidate has MSc degree/equivalent, is self-motivated, curious and interested in the mechanisms of immunity. Previous experience in biomedical research techniques, such as cell culture, FACS and/or in vivo models is advantageous.
Salary
The salary will be based on the demand level chart for the teaching and research staff of Finnish Universities. The preliminary level of demand is 2-4. In addition to the basic salary, a supplementary salary component will be paid according to the personal
performance. There is a four month’s trial period in the beginning of the employment.
