We are seeking an outstanding, highly motivated and creative individual to join our team to set up innovative imaging techniques, in order to investigate meningeal lymphatic’s flow functional changes after TBI.
The successful candidate is graduated in biomedical, medical or pharmaceutical sciences (or equivalent). Previous research experience in in-vivo animal models (i.e., surgery or drug administration) will be regarded as a merit. The candidate will be expected to carry out and plan experiments analyzing the meningeal lymphatic system flow in animal models, both in physiological and pathological conditions, using advanced in-vivo imaging techniques. The ideal candidate will have research experience in microscopy (confocal or multiphoton) or in animal nuclear imaging, and in rodents’ brain microsurgery. The candidate is expected to be self-driven, to have strong work-capacity and enthusiasm for science, and to have good communication skills.
The position offers opportunities to apply for the Doctoral Program in Health Science, at University of Eastern Finland. The successful candidate will be involved in master students supervision, scientific reporting, grant applications, and in further collaborations (national and international).
The position is filled for a fixed term from 01.09.2017 to 31.08.2020 (UEF University Regulations, Section 31).
The salary of the position is determined in accordance with the salary system of Finnish universities and is based on levels 2-4 of the job requirement level chart for teaching and research staff (€1,985.85 - 2,475.31/ month). In addition to the job requirement component, the salary includes a personal performance component, which may be a maximum of 46.3% of the job requirement component.
