Our research group - composed of the following senior researchers: Jussi Hepojoki, PhD; Tarja Sironen, PhD, Docent in Virology; Tomas Strandin, PhD; and Antti Vaheri, MD, PhD, Professor – has funding available for a good start of a doctoral student, holding MSc degree.

Our team works at Haartman Institute (Haartmaninkatu 3), Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki. The research deals with pathogenesis of hantavirus infections.

Although our own work is mainly at the cell culture level we collaborate with clinical researchers who have access to hantavirus-infected patients: see Mustonen et al Antiviral Res 2013.
