Dear all,

Just to let you know the senate decided last Thursday that the merger between the departments of biochemistry and medical biochemistry will happen. We are aiming for a physical merger in 2016/2017 and an administrative merger by the end of the year.

There are very few other details yet finalized except that we will not be part of any faculty, but instead we will be directly under the rectorate.

A working committee is being set up by the rector to work out more details and they have to report by the end of March.

As we get more confirmed details I will keep you in the loop.
