Ilmoittaudu airueksi kevään 2020 tohtoripromootioon
Oulun yliopistossa järjestetään 22.–24.5.2020 järjestyksessään yhdestoista kaikkien tiedekuntien yhteinen tohtoripromootio. Tohtoripromootio on yliopiston arvokkain ja perinteikkäin juhla, jossa vihitään tiedekuntien kutsumat kunniatohtorit
sekä nuoret tohtorit.
Tohtoripromootioon etsitään tällä hetkellä mukaan opiskelijoita eli airuita edustamaan Oulun yliopistoa tapahtumapäivien ajalle. Airuiden tehtäviä ovat paikasta riippuen mm. vieraiden vastaanotto (opastus, ovien avaaminen, vaatteiden
vastaanotto), paikannäyttäminen, avustus promootioaktissa, päivällisillä ja tanssiaisissa, seisominen kunniavartiossa puheiden aikana sekä muu yleinen opastus. Koska juhliin osallistuu kansainvälisiä vieraita, vähintään englannin osaaminen on toivottavaa.

Join the Doctoral Conferment Ceremony as a herald!
The University of Oulu will hold its 11th Doctoral Conferment Ceremony from the 22nd to the 24th of May 2020. The Conferment Ceremony is arranged jointly by all the faculties. The
Conferment Ceremony gives new doctors the opportunity to enjoy themselves and celebrate their great achievements. The official inauguration of the doctors, Conferment Ceremony, is the most prestigious academic event and the celebrations respect 700-year-old
traditions.
Students play one of the key roles in Doctoral Conferment Ceremony. In this event, students are called heralds and their main task is to represent the University of Oulu and their own faculty. During the
event heralds help the guests and act as a doorkeepers and flag-bearers whenever needed. The heralds are needed from all faculties of our university.

The working committee of Doctoral Conferment Ceremony will organize info sessions for students during this fall. By participating in these sessions, you'll find out more about the Conferment Ceremony traditions
and you'll also hear more detailed information about the role of the heralds in this event. There will be info sessions organized at both campuses accordingly:
Tellus Linnanmaa Stage, Monday the 9th of December at 11-12 o’clock
Tellus Kontinkangas Stage, Tuesday the 10th of December at 11-12 o’clock
