Young reseacher/graduate position in bioinformatics in a project on Molecular background of musical aptitude (MUSGEN Project), University of Helsinki
The MUSGEN Project at the University of Helsinki (http://www.hi.helsinki.fi/music/english/index.htm) invites applications from young researcher to work a highly interdisciplinary research project investigating genetic background of musical aptitude and the related traits. The research group includes molecular geneticists and bioinformaticians.
We seek for a candidate with interest in science and strong education in bioinformatics. The work includes analyses of copy number variants (CNV), RNA expression and next generation sequencing. The work is carried out at the Department of Medical Genetics, located at Biomedicum Helsinki, Meilahti Campus.
