The period of appointment starts from 1.4. 2009 or by agreement and is for up
to three years
The research focus in this project funded by the Academy of Finland and the Nordic Joint Committee for Agricultural Research (NKJ) is in the molecular characterization of virulence mechanism and host specificity determinants of pathogenic Staphylococcus and Streptococcus species. Major interest in this co-operative study is in application of modern proteomic and molecular biological techniques, as well as, genomics on study of pathogenic bacteria. The project is performed in co-operation between research groups at University of Helsinki, University of Copenhagen and University of Umeå.
Qualified candidates should have experience in proteomics, microbiology, biochemistry, protein chemistry, bioinformatics and/or molecular biology.
The salary for the present post will be based on level 2 to3 on the salary scale for Universities in Finland (1717-1891 € per month plus a personal performance-based component, max. 46 %)
