A Ph.D. student position is immediately available at V.-P. Jaakola's lab at the Oulu Biocenter & Department of Biochemistry, University of Oulu (Oulu, Finland) to understand the mechanisms of adenosine class of GPCRs ligand binding, regulation and intracellular signaling using x-ray crystallography in combination with various biochemical, molecular pharmacology and biophysical techniques ( http://www.biochem.oulu.fi/tutkimus/vjaakola/ ). The applicant should be a determined team player that enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Previous experience in structural biology, membrane protein biochemistry, molecular pharmacology or recombinant protein expression is highly desired. Send a CV (including diplomas and transcripts from the university), statement of research interests, and names of references to Veli-Pekka Jaakola at veli-pekka.jaakola@oulu.fi . For more detailed information, please visit the lab's webpage and contact the PI directly.

Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
