We are looking to strengthen our highly competent, collaborative and innovative team in Finland with
Medical Scientific Liaison / Medical Advisor, Oncology
In this role you will be responsible for compliance with all applicable country regulation and Merck policies and procedures. Your tasks will include:
· Understanding the clinical & scientific needs of MSD’s top customers / accounts and determines how MSDs Portfolio and Solutions can help address those needs;
· Establishing and refining value propositions of MSD products and innovative medical solutions to meet the needs of key customers with the cross functional team;
· Continuously seeking for innovative initiative in customer engagement by establishing, managing and owning high level scientific and clinical interactions with customers: Scientific leaders (SLs), speakers, investigators, scientific societies, Medical
Technology Assessment entities, Academic Institutions, or the like;
· Contributing to short and long-term objectives by optimizing medical and clinical excellence throughout the product lifecycle among customers;
· Being recognized by customers and colleagues as the MSD expert in therapeutic area;
· Providing medical and scientific advice and input to GHH Business, GHO/GMAx and others as required;
· Having high level scientific and medical/clinical interactions with regulatory and reimbursement authorities.
In addition to being a strong team player and knowing your way within a matrix organization, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
· Preferably a Medical Degree or alternatively a PhD/ Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pharmacy;
· Relevant prior work experience from medical industry;
· Good understanding of the oncology area and business, market access, the political environment as well as health economy;
· Excellent understanding of the drug development process, relevant diseases and therapies and the local medical practice;
· Excellent presentation and communication skills related to management of scientific leaders and key opinion leaders;
· Strong working knowledge of all applicable local regulations and global development policies, procedures and processes;
· Excellent oral and written communication skills Finnish and English.
