Oulun Biokemistiseura ry järjestää jäsenilleen virkistyspäivän sunnuntaina 15. toukokuuta klo 15:00 Koitelinkoskella koskenlaskun ja grillailun merkeissä. Koskilasku toteutetaan kumiveneellä kevään kuohuvassa koskessa kokeneen oppaan johdolla, laskun kesto noin 1,5 tuntia. Koskenlaskun hinta on 29e/hlö, joka sisältää tapahtumanjärjestäjä Go Arcticin tarjoamat turvallisuusvarusteet (koskenlaskuliivi ja kypärä). Varaa mukaan myös vaihtovaatteet. Koskenlaskun jälkeen Oulun Biokemistiseura ry tarjoaa evästä Koitelin alueen nuotiopaikalla.

Tapahtumaan ovat tervetulleita myös seuraan kuulumattomat henkilöt. Varaa siis paikkasi mukaan, mutta toimi ajoissa, sillä mukaan mahtuu rajattu määrä laskijoita ja seuran jäsenet ovat etusijalla. Ilmoittauduthan sitovasti sunnuntaihin 8.5. mennessä vastaamalla tähän sähköpostiin. Laita sähköpostiin osallistujan nimi sekä mahdolliset erityishuomiot eväshetkeä varten.

Hi all!

The Biochemical Society of Oulu is organizing a Spring recreation day on Sunday the 15^th of May at 3 pm. This year we head to the white-water area of Koitelinkoski to conquer the rapids of the river with a rubber boat and after that we enjoy a bonfire picnic in beautiful Koitelinkoski area! Experienced instructor will lead the raft through the river and duration of the raft is about 1,5 hours. The rafting costs 29 eur/person including the safety equipment (koskenlaskuliivi and helmet) offered by the rafting arranger Go Arctic! Take also change of clothes with you. Carpools will be arranged from Oulu to Koitelinkoski if needed and The Biochemical Society offers a picnic at the bonfire place at Koitelinkoski after the raft.

The event is also accessible for individuals outside of the Society, so you can roll in for the activity. Be quick and reserve your place for the raft, since the amount of participant is limited and the members are privileged. Please sign for the rafting latest on Sunday 8^th of May by answering to this email. Please note that the registration is permanent. Include your name and any special diets.

The Biochemical Society of Oulu is celebrating its 45^th year of activity. We belong to the Biobio Society (http://www.biobio.org).

Our members can apply grants from FEBS, FEMS, IUBAP, IUMS, EBSA and IUBMB. We aim to improve the employment of bioscience professionals in the Oulu region by organizing company visits, networking and social events.
