A Master's student position is available in early 2009 to study mitochondrial genetics at Biomedicum Helsinki, University of Helsinki.
Our group is based in the Faculty of Medicine Research Program of Molecular Neurology and a member of FinMIT, Finnish Academy Center of Excellence (2008-2013) on mitochondrial disease and ageing. We use a variety of research paradigms (genetics, cell biology, molecular biology) and model systems to study mitochondrial function and the regulation of mitochondrial DNA.
