A position is now available for a highly motivated cell and/or molecular biologist at either postdoctoral or graduate student level to join an international team investigating cellular signalling mechanisms in disease and degeneration. This project aims to develop light-regulatable scaffolds to manipulate intracellular signalling.
Live-cell imaging facilities, including HCA, TIRF and laser scanning confocal microscopy (http://www.uef.fi/aivi/muic), will be used in the project, which will be carried out at the A.I. Virtanen Institute, Biocentre Kuopio, set in the Finnish lake district.
The position is available immediately. Applicants with experience in some of the following areas will be considered until the position is filled: cell signalling, plasmid manipulation, neuronal culture systems, live-cell imaging, scipt and macro programming for bioimaging applications.
