The effects of a nuclear power plant in the Oulu region.
Experts within the field of nuclear energy will be shedding light on the local effects of a nuclear plant. This will take place during the Oulu’s Nuclear Future event organized by IEEE GOLD Finland at the University of Oulu in lecture hall IT 116 at 15.30, on the 5th of October 2011. The event is free for all to attend, however arrive on time or slightly earlier if you don't want to stand.
Fennovoima Oy, Greenpeace, Oulu
city, and the University of Oulu will discuss the local effects of the
nuclear plant in regard to employment, and the industry, also a description of
the newly commencing nuclear education program at the University of Oulu will be
given. In addition general security issues will be regarded along with
environmental implications and alternative sources/forms of energy will be
considered.
