Subject: [Bco] Postdoc or graduate student position in the research group for hereditary breast cancer susceptibility, Biomedicum Helsinki

A post-doctoral or graduate student (MSc) position available in the research group for hereditary breast cancer susceptibility in Biomedicum Helsinki.

Our study addresses the genetic background  of breast cancer by  identifying breast cancer susceptibility genes or  common genetic  variants for breast cancer development and progression (SNPs – genes – pathways). We use genome-wide molecular genetic, functional and cancer biological analyses combined with large scale computational, bioinformatic  and biostatistical analyses of  cancer risk or patient survival in subgroups of breast carcinoma. An applicant should have knowledge on human genetics and bioinformatics and at least basic skills or strong desire to acquire understanding in statistics and methodological sciences, i.e. computational/statistical analysis methodologies.
