- lectures can be attended by anyone interested

- for practical demonstrations, priority is given to researchers, but if places remain left, then Master degree students may get a place

Subject: Advanced Course on Light and Electron Microscopy

Dear all,

Biocenter Oulu Tissue Imaging Center is arranging an advance course on light and electron microscopy between 12^th and 13^th of December 2019. The course focuses on new advanced imaging techniques at light an electron microscopy core facilities.

The aim of the course is to get acquainted with light and electron microscopy 3D imaging methods of optically cleared or serially sectioned samples. The light microscopy part includes introduction to tissue optical clearing and confocal fluorescence microscopy with fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM). The electron microscopy part focuses on sample serial section imaging and different staining methods. The course consists of lectures and microscopy demonstrations.
