Dear all,
The university science day is on Tuesday 10th September and more than 100 school students will be coming to our department for two events, one based around protein structure and one around protein function. Each event has three sub-parts based on the general theme.
At the first meeting to organize what we will be doing only a few people turned up, but there was a lot of useful discussion to build something on the broad outline we had proposed. Now we need to go further, start to finalize what we are doing etc.
We need as much support as possible from staff and students as an important event that might bring in new enthusiastic students in the future (if we have a successful day). By my rough count we need at least 14 people at each session on the day to cover the two events. More people would be useful.
If you would like to help in advance or to be there to help on the day the next meeting will be held this Friday 2pm in BK226C.
If you are unable to attend on Friday but would like to be involved on the 10th, please email me to let me know.
Thanks.
Lloyd
