Hei luonnontieteilijät!

OLuT ry järjestää yhdessä Oulun akateemisen mölökky ja kyykkäseuran (OAMK) kanssa kyykkäintron ja -turnauksen lauantaina 21.1.2017 kello 11:30 alkaen.

Mutta mikä ihmeen kyykkä? Pelissä on tarkoituksena poistaa kyykkämailoja, karttuja, käyttäen kyykät pelineliöstä mahdollisimman vähillä heitoilla. OLuT-kyykässä pelataan joukkuekyykkää, eli heitetään neljän hengen joukkueissa ja kilpaillaan luonnontieteilijöiden mestaruudesta humanistipäädyn parkkipaikoilla. Kilpailun taso on sopiva myös ensikertalaisille ja joukkueen voi muodostaa vasta paikan päälläkin.

Ensikertalaisia varten alussa pidetään myös noin 45 min intro, jossa käydään läpi heittotekniikkaa ennen varsinaisen turnauksen aloitusta. Parhaat palkitaan jatkosaunassa YOK 1:ssä.

Hello, fellow scientists!

OLuT is organising an intro to kyykkä and a kyykkä tournament on 21.1.2017 beginning at 11.30 am, together with OAMK (Oulu’s academic mölökky and kyykkä organisation).

What is kyykkä you say? The aim in the game is to throw a wooden bat in order to remove as many wooden blocks from the play square with as few throws as possible. The OLuT tournament is played in teams of four and these teams compete for the kyykkä championship of natural sciences. The event takes place in the parking lot at the humanist end of the university. The event is suitable even for beginners and it isn’t necessary to gather your own team before the event in order to participate.

At the event there is an introduction to kyykkä for newcomers in which the basic throwing technique is practised before the actual tournament. For the best teams there are prizes that are given during the afterparty sauna at Yliopistokatu 1.
