Exciting news! Starting in September, Dr. Nsrein Ali’s research group is offering two internship opportunities that can be continued as Master’s thesis projects.

1. In vitro disease modeling of sweat glands

This project focuses on developing an in vitro model to study sweat glands in disease states. It provides hands-on experience in advanced cell biology techniques and disease modeling.

2. Data science and optical imaging for disease pattern discovery

This project involves applying data science and computer science methods to analyze optical imaging data. The aim is to explore spectral landscape patterns in various biological samples and identify novel associations with diseases. This work offers hands-on experience in computational analysis and interdisciplinary research at the interface of biology and data science.

Both projects are planned to start in September, unless another start date is mutually agreed upon.

We welcome applications from motivated students with backgrounds in biochemistry, biology, engineering, computer science, and data analysis fields.
