A nationwide �Pathology training programme in disease modelling (60 cr)� will begin in January 2012.
A specialisation programme for holders of second-cycle (Master�s) university degrees. The training provides participants with the competences required for positions in pathology related to disease biology and preclinical drug development. Such positions are becoming increasingly common as the use of experimental disease modelling is adopted more widely.
The training includes the following sections: Basics of pathology, Laboratory animal modelling, Pharmacology and toxicology, Basics of microscopy, Organ pathology, Disease models, Special techniques and Quantification of results.
