2-3 PhD student positions are open in Cell trafficking unit at Medicity Research laboratory, University of Turku.
We are offering exciting opportunities for outstanding doctoral student in Cell trafficking unit, one of the national centers of excellence, in group of Prof. Marko Salmi and Prof. Sirpa Jalkanen, University of Turku, Finland. The overall goal of research group is to elucidate the mechanisms that regulate the traffic of leukocytes in the body.
The successful candidate will have a higher university degree completed (or nearly completed); he/she should have studies with good grades in fields relevant for the position (e.g.; Biology, Biochemistry, Health Biosciences, Molecular biology, Medicine). The candidate will have a high motivation for research, is co-operative and have good skills in oral and written English and enjoy working in international and cross-disciplinary team. Work experience in immunology, molecular biology, experimental mouse models or developmental biology with various lab techniques (e.g.; immunofluorescence, western blotting, FACS, cell culture) are appreciated.
