A position for a Master student is open in the research group of docent Katri Koli at the Molecular and Cancer Biology Research program, University of Helsinki (http://research.med.helsinki.fi/cancerbio/koli/default.htm). The position is initially filled for 6 months, but may be extended into a Ph.D. student position.

The research focuses on characterization of the pathogenic role of the cysteine knot protein gremlin in fibrotic and malignant lung diseases. Current project aims at identification and functional characterization of new protein interactions of gremlin. Prior experience in cell and molecular biology is considered an advantage.
