A PhD student position in organ development and regeneration A PhD student position is available in the field of developmental biology in a joint project of Docent Marja Mikkola and Prof. Irma Thesleff at the Institute of Biotechnology, University of Helsinki. The project focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular basis of organogenesis. The project utilizes molecular, cell, and developmental biology techniques and ex vivo and in vivo manipulation of developing mouse organs. We are seeking for talented and highly motivated candidates with Master’s degree in genetics, cell/molecular biology, biomedicine, biochemistry, developmental biology, or other appropriate field. Candidates who will receive their MSc degree in near future are also eligible to apply. Previous experience in animal work or in cell and tissue culture is considered advantageous. Good written and oral skills in English are a necessity.
